5 Ways to Increase Website Traffic Through Google

Have you tried all the means to increase your web traffic and they don’t seem to work? Don’t panic because we’ve got you covered. You don’t even need an SEO expert or a copywriter to help you increase the traffic. Most people focus on the wrong metrics and they end up finding it very difficult to increase the web traffic. But as a matter of fact, driving web traffic is not as hard as they have made you believe. You just need a proven strategy, follow the steps and within no time you will have tremendous growth in your traffic. The proven system is comprised of these five steps.

1. Optimize Your Content

Optimizing your content is the foundation of everything. If you don’t optimize the content on your website the traffic will just be temporal. The very first step of optimizing your content is knowing your current traffic statistics and from there you will get to know your actions are affecting it either positively or negatively. If you have don’t have Google Analytics tracking code setup it is the high time for it.

Make sure you check your website traffic from time to time so that you can know how they are performing. Make it like 3 times a week. You will get to know what’s working and what you should do better.

Have a better content strategy than you the one you have currently. The first thing you need to do is making sure your content is documented. Content that is not documented can cut your chances of making it by even a half. 60 percent of the businesses that have documented businesses get results from content marketing and 32 percent that have verbal but not documented content have succeeded and only 8 percent of businesses without content marketing can make it. A good content marketing strategy should incorporate blogs, e-books, videos, podcast and infographics.

The heading of your blog should be captivating, to make sure that your headings are captivating, make sure that it has the right length, right keywords are included, and compelling heading for social media users. Finding the right keywords is easy because you can simply use google keyword planner. Make sure your heading is as clear as possible, it can be a question, create curiosity and aim to trigger the emotions of the reader.

But of course the headlines will not matter if the content is crap, so make sure you write compelling content coz if your content is not appealing, there is a high chance the reader will bounce immediately and might create an ugly picture on google. The introduction should be catchy and make sure the paragraphs are short, keep it 3 to 5 sentences.

Make sure you add links to your website if you want to rank higher. It can be from your older blogposts or from other pages on google. Don’t overdo it though, about 45 internal links are more than enough. Irrelevant or redundant content don’t have a place in Google. Delete the content that does not match up your message and watch your traffic increasing.

2. Use Social Media

Since the website is optimized, it will have to be prepared for more traffic, incorporate the social media strategies and you will be mesmerized by the wonders they will do to your traffic. Optimize each and every platform and make sure to have a high-quality photo and quality link description under the photo. Have a schedule for sharing your content so that you don’t under share or overshare.

If a post doesn’t get attention the first time you post don’t try posting it the same way because this will turn your followers away. Use free social media buttons like Shared Counts and Sumo Share App. Post your content during the peak hours, the peak hours for Facebook is weekends between 12 and 1 pm, and Fridays between 1 and 4 pm.

And finally, you should make use of Quora, when people ask questions answer them like a pro and add relevant links to your website. It will massively increase your web traffic.

3. Content Guest Posting

Your content needs to reach out to many people, social media will do but you need more than that and that’s where guest posting comes in. One of the best ways to do this is by getting your content republished on larger publications. Just make sure that the publication has links to the original post on your website.

4. Focus on Recurring Traffic Sources

In the 21st century, nothing can be so sure so the search engines and social media traffic can fail. We have heard of websites losing their search rankings in one day and the social media algorithms can change, but with the right strategy, you can control your traffic and even command it as you wish.

The best way is making sure you have an email list that is competent. Direct marketing association confirms that for every dollar you use on email marketing you get ROI of up to 44 dollars. Email traffic is actually better than SEO and social media when it comes to conversions.

5. Repackage and Repurpose Your Content

Just a single piece of content can be made into different pieces and just like that your reach will increase. Quality of the content is the most important thing as we have seen but that does not mean quantity should be ignored.

There are different ways of using the same piece of content to create more content. For example, you can turn your blog posts into audio content or make one blog post into slide presentation then upload it to Slideshare, you can even turn some of your blog posts into newsletters for your email list.
